Better Lat(t)e than Never
The coolest beans.
Heist House Latte’s.
Our coffee shop was never meant to be a ‘coffee shop’. We built a space to offer our hair clients that movie-moment of walking into a fancy hotel and receiving a complimentary drink to ease you into your holiday. While we have super cool baristas who make photo-worthy drinks, and epic cakes people hike across town for, what we might’ve done is execute this concept a bit too well. Our shop quickly became a go-to spot for little meet-ups and on-the-go goods for locals, and people often got a shock when discovering their favourite ‘coffee spot’ was actually a heck of a lot more.
Cue blow dryers.
One of our biggest perks for clients is that every hair appointment comes with a complimentary beverage. This isn’t limited to pre-bottled drinks or filter coffee with a drop of milk—they can order anything they want off the menu. So, if they feel for an iced decaf dirty chai with coconut milk using an authentic spice mix and Ceylon cinnamon from Peru, they’ve got it.
Today, the Heist House has become an eclectic mix of hair, coffee, yoga, and wellness, and the coffee shop is open to everyone. Let’s take a look at some of the drinks, specifically lattes, you can grab from Nashwhite Coffee:

Good quality espresso. Creamy, just-frothed milk. Cute mug. Maybe some coffee art? You just can’t beat a classic latte. What makes us biassed towards our own lattes really comes down to the ingredients (and the expert hands that make them), which consist of New Ground coffee and locally sourced milk.
New Ground Coffee stands out for its commitment to quality, ethical sourcing, and innovative flavours. By using premium, specialty-grade beans and roasting them in small batches, they ensure maximum freshness and taste in every cup. Their ethical practices involve direct partnerships with farmers, fair trade compensation, and transparency about bean origins, fostering a deep connection between consumers and the coffee's source. Additionally, New Ground Coffee's unique blends and single-origin offerings highlight the natural flavour notes of each bean, catering to a wide range of taste preferences.
Beyond exceptional coffee, New Ground Coffee is dedicated to sustainability and social impact. They employ environmentally friendly practices, support local communities, and engage in social initiatives that provide job opportunities for individuals facing employment barriers. Their commitment to inclusivity, education, and exceptional customer service makes New Ground Coffee a responsible and rewarding choice for coffee lovers who care about the broader impact of their beverage choices.
Chai, but iced.
Chai
Our pet peeve in any cafe is ordering a chai latte and having it made with SYRUP. Chai flavoured syrup is especially sweet, and has absolutely none of the benefits you’ll get from a well-made spice mix. Now, if we’re in the space of ‘self-love’ and ‘health’, we think it’s only right to drink a well made cuppa, not a sugared down mug of slightly foamy milk. A real chai latte is made by adding the right mix of spices to glossy milk that’s been heated to a temperature you can sip immediately after being served.
Journey to the bustling markets of India with our chai mix, made from the highest-quality ingredients in order to create a well balanced blend of spices, nutrition, and intensity.
Cinnamon: Rich in antioxidants, cinnamon helps your body combat free radicals, reducing the risk of cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. Our chai uses Ceylon cinnamon, which is also high in manganese—a mineral essential for hormone production and bone repair.
Cardamom: This spice aids digestion, freshens breath, balances blood sugar levels, and lowers blood pressure. It also helps treat bronchitis, stimulates circulation, manages diabetes, and alleviates gastrointestinal discomfort during pregnancy.
Ginger: Packed with antioxidants, ginger boosts immunity and helps protect against illness. It's also a natural remedy for nausea, making it effective for morning sickness, motion sickness, and chemotherapy-induced nausea.
Allspice: Known for its eugenol content, allspice can help relieve headaches, muscle cramps, and tooth pain. Its essential oil promotes circulation, which can alleviate muscle pain and strains.
Cloves: Cloves are high in manganese, aiding in bone repair and hormone production. They also act as antioxidants, protecting your body from harmful free radicals.
Nutmeg: Nutmeg contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that support brain health, enhance mood, and improve digestion. It's also known to help with insomnia, boost libido, and support oral health due to its antibacterial properties.

Turmeric Latte
Known for its ‘earthy’ taste, turmeric lattes - also known as 'Golden Milk’ - are another great example of drinking your health. Ground turmeric contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compound that helps reduce inflammation, boost immunity, and support overall health. Regular consumption of turmeric lattes can improve heart health by lowering cholesterol levels, aid digestion, and even enhance mood. The earthy, slightly spicy taste of turmeric, combined with various types of milk, creates a soothing and versatile drink perfect for any time of day.
Beyond their health benefits, turmeric lattes carry a rich historical and cultural significance. Used for centuries in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine, turmeric has long been valued for its healing properties. Drinking a turmeric latte connects you with this ancient wisdom while providing a natural, chemical-free way to boost your wellness. This delicious beverage not only nourishes the body but also offers a moment of comfort and relaxation, making it a perfect choice for those seeking both health and harmony in their daily routine.
Matcha latte, but iced.
Matcha
We consider matcha lattes made with ‘matcha-flavoured syrup’ another sacrilege to beverages. It might seem dramatic for some, but reducing such a powerhouse ingredient to a goopy mess of sugar should be, in our opinions, illegal.
Rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins, matcha helps fight free radicals, boosts immunity, and promotes overall health. The unique combination of caffeine and L-theanine in matcha provides a calm, focused energy boost without the jitters, enhancing mental clarity and productivity. This makes matcha lattes an excellent alternative to coffee, offering sustained energy and improved cognitive function.
Beyond energy and focus, matcha lattes support metabolism and (potentially) weight management, thanks to their metabolism-boosting properties. The chlorophyll in matcha acts as a natural detoxifier, aiding in the removal of toxins and promoting a healthy digestive system. Additionally, matcha's L-theanine content enhances mood and reduces stress by promoting the production of dopamine and serotonin. Packed with vitamins and minerals, matcha lattes offer a smooth, creamy taste with a subtle sweetness, adaptable to various dietary preferences with different milk options. This makes matcha lattes not only a delicious beverage but also a powerhouse of nutritional and health benefits. And if you REALLY want some extra sweetness, add some honey or agave.
